A spectacular fluorite by any standard! A cluster of three, perfect sea green cubes are impaled through the back on a sliver of matrix resulting in a specimen of exquisite composition. The fluorite crystals are glassy, transparent and in pristine condition! The main crystal measures 3.5 cm across and the spire of matrix is 6 cm long. On each leading edge, there are very unusual modifications of the cubic faces by what seem like slanting rhombohedral (dodec?) edges, but I was always told that the corners of the fluorite should be the same on crystals like this - how can one corner on each crystal have a dodec modification? No matter what crystal weirdness is going on, they are sharp and add something to this I have not seen in other fluorites from the mine. In person, it leaps out at you once you notice, that one corner of each crystal has a weird asymmetry, an extra slanted face where there should be a crisp clean corner. Displays incredibly well on a custom engraved acrylic base. An exceptional piece!
