One of the great mineral classic combinations of the 1970s and 1980s, from Mexico, was the find of gem fluorite growing on sharp celestine blades, from Mexico. But the problem is, most of them were too big - big and clunky, big and damaged, not our taste as collectors usually. This is a choice specimen of a normal size for most collectors with well formed, glassy and gemmy fluorites draping over a 5 mm-thick, snow white crystal of celestine - complete all around, 360 degrees! The El Tule Mine once produced specimens like this in the late 1970's that were 30 cm in length. But, for mineral collectors, specimens of perfection in this size were highly desirable and there were few to be had.
