A strange classic from the old finds at Tsumeb, this is a dramatic and geometric specimen where the azurite has been replaced by tennantite, while preserving the fine crystal shape of the azurite. For that matter, the azurite itself was replaced by malachite, and then by the tennantite, from what we have seen in other specimens from here... so it is a double replacement. While we have seen many single crystals of this style, in old collections, this is by far one of the most elegant and complete examples we have seen (and we have personally seen over 30000 tsumeb minerals at a guess!). It is notable for the aesthetic shape, completeness, balance, and that is is without repairs - a significant example. Ex. Dave Stoudt Tsumeb collection. Custom lucite base is included.
