Here we have a sharp cluster of largely transparent, pastel lavender-pink Fluorite crystals from Berbes, Spain that resembles a cluster of large ice cubes - classic in style for this famous Spanish locality for fluorite mining. The quality is better in person as the combination of luster and sparkle, with transparency, is hard to capture on camera. The Fluorites are sharp, perfectly formed cubes from 1.5 to 5.7 cm on edge that display minor stepped growth patterns on the faces, and edges, to varying degrees. Most of the large crystals are water-clear with a couple of the crystals toward the rear of the cluster having a slightly cloudy appearance. The subtle, and lovely, pale lavender-pink color is more apparent on a white background. Berbes has produced a tremendous amount of beautiful Fluorite crystals over the years with colors ranging from various shades of purple, blue and lavender. This cluster is in excellent condition with only one corner slightly compromised. An old piece with an old Herb Obodda label.
