Gemmy euclase grows around a thick blade of tourmaline (schorl), similar to graphite in the middle of a pencil. There's a sharp adularia crystal attached to the side of the euclase. On the backside, there's a small contact near the base of the crystal but you wouldn't know it from the front display angle. Because the crystal is doubly-terminated, you could choose to display the adularia on the right, left, or use it as a natural base! This is part of a captivating new discovery made in early 2020 in Brazil of euclase with schorl inclusions. Many euclases grace private and museum collections all over the world but this is a new association not seen before. This piece weighs 2.20 g.
