Description
This dramatic crystal is a large, tabular, doubly terminated, lustrous and translucent, rich sky blue alkali-rich beryl crystal, measuring 2.8 cm across. It has an unusual bowed-in appearance in the middle, typical of these crystals as they get larger. These were originally thought to be Rosterite or Vorobyevite, but further analysis by Dr. Federico Pezzotta confirmed they are alkali-rich beryls.
