This is a machined-looking geometric cluster of Galena from the Huaron Mine in Peru featuring several metallic gray crystals in dramatic parallel growth. It's an incredibly cool piece with cubic Galenas in a stacked and staggered arrangement that you seldom see in the species in this quality. It features a sharp one-inch Galena at the center upon which several other Galena crystals are arranged on three sides and atop. There is some skeletal growth evident along with some stair-step growth that is prominent on one side. The geometry of the piece is captivating and it almost resembles a puzzle the more you look at it! There is some Pyrite at the base for color and textural contrast. This came out around 2018, and is from the personal collection of the well-known Ramos family of mineral dealers in Lima. Comes with a custom lucite base.
