A superb Cuprian Adamite from the mines of Lavrion, Greece! Vibrant, lustrous, saturated green-blue, scintillating botryoids and fans of Cuprian Adamite are locally highlighted by tips and edges of pale green for lovely contrast. This is an exceptional piece for the locality and has the colorful Adamite running the entire length of the piece and is nicely contrasted by medium brown gossan matrix on the back. The color is fantastic and the luster is top, like glass. It is the classic style for the species and exceptional for Lavrion. Seldom do we see such beautiful cabinet specimens of Cuprian Adamite like this available, however - it is so rich and stunning, it is unlike other Greek specimens you see in patches and small spheres. From an old Italian collection, to me.
