This specimen features intense green crystals of pyromorphite atop white baryte, and is often referred to as "terrace-like" by many collectors. We see them only in a few old collections now, and they are caught up quickly into new ones. And, they really do look like gardens of pyro on rolling baryte hills, so beautiful and unique from other styles of pyromorphite from... well, from anywhere. They remain unique. This is a find of the early 1970s so far we have been able to trace them. It has been about a decade since we have had one for sale. Pohl # in the 33000's indicates she acquired it about 1/3 into her nearly 100 year journey of mineral collecting. Note this is from Chaillac, not the more widely known French locality of Les Farges.
