From an amazing find of the 1960s or 1970s, we have only seen a very few of these sharp textbook bornite crystals in old collections. This is a superb thumbnail example with textbook symmetry unusual for this copper species: sharp-edged black single dodecahedron in form. From: the important collection of Dr. William W. Pinch, Pittsford, New York, April 22, 2015, with label.
