This sharp, glassy, brown-yellow Xenotime-(Y) miniature is from the great finds in the 1990's in Novo Horizonte, Brazil. The main crystal has a slightly divergent sidecar partner and both display high luster and light-catching, golden streaks of scintillating internal reflections in tandem. The main crystal and its companion are translucent at the edges and locally within the body of the crystal and both have razor sharp edges! The piece looks great from any perspective in 360 degrees of rotation. The tetragonal prism faces and pyramidal terminations on both crystal components are well-formed and undamaged. This is truly a great example of this yttrium phosphate from this noted locality that has all the characteristics of the species one could hope for. It's in excellent condition and shows in 360 degrees. ex Dr. Tom Campbell collection. Relatively large for the find, the species, and the style.
