DescriptionA very colorful Malachite and Chrysocolla specimen from the Star of the Congo Mine which has produced many great combination specimens of these two minerals over the years. Teal blue, botryoidal Chrysocolla was initially deposited on the matrix followed subsequently by stacked, botryoidal aggregates of bright green Malachite resulting in a fine looking, multicolored and multitextured, artistic piece. This pair of colorful copper secondaries graces a matrix containing disseminated Chrysocolla that adds to the color distribution and texture of the piece. Unique, among a very large crowd of malachites from this mine.
