Huge dioptase crystals to 3.5 cm form a solid plate on this impressive display specimen. Each location produces dioptase of a slightly different balance in size, color, sparkle, and saturation. This piece has high levels for all of those qualities. The combination of color and size, and sparkle, makes this stand out on a shelf. It is not the most finely aesthetic or pristine piece, but it has IMPACT for the size and intensity of color in such large crystals. It is actually in great shape, as well: just a few contacts and tiny dings. Dioptase crystals of this size from ANY locality would be 1 in 1000, and treasured.
