Gorgeous gem clean octahedra of fluorite crystals, to 2.5 cm across, sit perched on an elegant spearpoint crystal of quartz. The crystals are clean, pure, transparent without a hint of color, which is actually fairly rare for fluorite. As the piece is a floater, complete all around and with all crystals terminated, the question here is, are fluorites on the quartz - or is the quartz perched upon the fluorite cluster? The quartz, on close inspection, is slightly sceptered or serrated, with subtle details. Also, the tip touching the fluorite is actually embedded, complete within. it is a complex, elegant, complete 360 degree specimen from older finds at Huanggang.
