A magnificent cluster of intergrown halite cubes with gypsum crystals, this is one of the finer examples in the size range from a small production that came to market in the early 2000s. The crystals show complex patterns of intergrowth and successive growth, one upon the other, and are just mesmerizing to look at. Normally, neither of these species is at the top of the "world's most desirable species" list but together the combination is notable for the complex style and geometries. These have proven immensely popular on the market and few good ones are now found for sale. Notably, Dr Erika Pohl's germany suite is probably - certainly - the best and broadest single suite of German minerals ever put together in the 1900s-2000s. The pedigree of a German specimen from her collection is notable. Dr. Erika Pohl-Ströher - 91704
