Very large and robust composite Dioptase crystal from approximately 2015 mining, with Cerussite in association. An imposing 3.5cm long and 2.0cm wide Dioptase crystal dominates this specimen and it is composed of at least three major crystals and several smaller ones in parallel growth. The crystal is opaque and displays a super saturated, dark emerald green color with some lighter emerald green highlights near the termination and along the sides. Several subordinate Dioptase crystals near the base jut out the back and there are a few variably formed Dioptase crystals in the front of the piece, that are intergrown with some smoky Cerussite crystals to 1cm, one of which is a V-twin! A few other smaller, etched Cerussite crystals are distributed around the base of the piece as well. Unusual!
