Rarely do we see robust, single crystals of Cerussite from Tsumeb and this is a very nice one! For some reason, most large cerussite twins, from here. This is a tall, elegant, UNTWINNED crystal. It's impressive at nearly three inches in length and almost an inch across with sharply defined edges and faces along with a great termination. The termination is also gemmy and has a smoky hue and the length of the crystal is translucent also with a very faint smoky tinge and then a lovely, silky internal sheen. Remarkably this old-timer has only a couple of tiny ding on an edge and is it contacted at the base as expected; otherwise in fantastic condition. We had this on loan for over a year, for a special exhibit on the beauty and forms of minerals, in the Zhejiang Museum of Nature and Science in Hangzhou, China - so there was a custom lucite base made, included free with purchase here. ex Art Soregaroli collection.
