A fine miniature sized specimen from a classic French locality, known since at least the 1700s and famous for the finest prehnites in Europe at the time. At 2.3 cm across, this is a complete, translucent, radial cluster of fine crystals - already highly unusual in itself. However, what makes it extra special are the surprise inclusion of epidote crystals within the left side! All around aesthetic, and surprisingly fine in detail. We normally see these in clusters, dark and opaque. This is a real jewel for what it is. Dr. Erika Pohl-Ströher - 39894
