Dr. Erika Pohl had a huge collection of Swiss minerals, a feature of her own home and personal showcases for decades. She greatly enjoyed the variety of the Swiss gwindel quartz, strange twisted growths of a variety of styles. This is a perfect gem miniature with shocking sparkliness and clarity, complete and perfect all around. It came with a small plastic base engraved with this location, as did others in her collection, presumably acquired as a suite from some local strahler (field collector) there. While not big, it is simply one of the most exquisite examples in the miniature size range we have seen, and priced affordably. In person, this has a very slight smoky color.
