Pyrargyrite with Quartz
A fine 'wreath' of dark, silvery Pyrargyrite crystals, along with minor Quartz crystals, perched perfectly on a stalk of similar Pyrargyrites. The metallic luster is very good, and the crystals range from 2-7 mm in size. The luster on a few of larger Pyrargyrites is superb, almost mirror-like, and these particular crystals are sharp. A classic old specimen from St. Andreasberg in the Harz Mountains, this is a piece that is much better in person, and almost certainly pre-dates the 1850's. Very old label included.
