A fine mound of octahedral Fluorite crystals from Grant County, New Mexico. The satin lustered, purple, zoned Fluorite crystals measure up to 2.8cm across and have moderately dark purple cores and lighter purple rims. These pretty purple, intergrown octahedra are instantly recognizable as from "the other" Mexico locality with those from Catron County being more well known. This is a wonderful small cabinet piece with the translucent to transparent crystals piled up on one another, and complete all the way around the specimen. This is an excellent example from this locale! Ex. Chris Cowan collection with label.
