Prehnites from El Hammam are known for this distinct habit in which well defined crystals align to form rounded, uniform clusters. The pleasant, mint-green color is complemented by the very good luster and translucent nature of the Prehnites, which flash like green, crystalline ice as you move it in the light. The matrix is Quartz, and where it is exposed you can see sharp, flat-lying Quartz crystals up to 1.1 cm. This is a fine combination, and certainly one of the best-formed, most attractive Prehnites I have seen from El Hammam. It has an excellent size and balance. Specimens like this generally were found in the early 2000s although some came out at other times as well.
