This specimen is a classic Azurite Rose from the Morenci copper mine, circa late 1980s or early 1990s, and is a perfect example of the find. It has vivid royal blue color, sharp crystals, and is a complete floater all around - perfect no matter which way you sit, hold, or orient it. This is from a choice suite of carefully selected azurite roses from southwestern localities (Southern Arizona and Northern Mexico), in the collection of Mexico-based collector Ruben Avila.
