Quartz (unusual habit)$950.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
This is a dramatic, nearly eight inch, doubly terminated, almost flattened Quartz crystal from the Pomba Pit in Bahia, Brazil. The form looks like a highly elongate rhombohedron with a parallelogram cross-section. It is transparent throughout much of its length with the exception of several, thin, wisps of milky veiled inclusions perpendicular to its length spaced at irregular intervals. The four prism faces are glassy and two of them display intricate geometric growth forms and the other two are relatively smooth, but do show faint horizontal striations. These faces meet at acute angles on two edges and they are razor sharp! The terminations are both perfect and chisel-tipped! This eye-catching Quartz crystal is of a very unusual form (sometimes called "shards" although that is probably meaningless) and is in perfect condition!
