Zoisite
Zoisite is known most famously by its blue/purple variety, commonly called tanzanite. But, tanzanite is really just one of a group of colorful (or not) examples of this rock forming mineral, which rarely produces gemmy or large fine crystals. Lilac-colored zoisite from Afghanistan is really he only worldwide competitor worth talking about, for another style of zoisite worthy of display - and this is simply one of the biggest and best of them. It is from the collection of Herb Obodda, which we purchased in 2008; and recently got back. It is not repaired, and it is terminated. This is a significant specimen for what it is!
