A sharp, proportionally balanced, 17 x 5 x 4 mm red beryl crystal on natural rhyolite matrix, from this most unique of localities, the only source in the world for "red emeralds" as they are sometimes called. This would have come out in the heyday of the 1980s, early 1990s, and was then sold by Rex Harris (who owned the claims) to R.D. Mushlitz. It is not large perhaps, but it is fine, aesthetic, and has excellent color. As a miniature, it stands out nicely without breaking the bank.
