In addition to being sizeable, this is one of the hard-to-get pink fluorite plates with an isolated cluster that has a rim of contrasting matrix around it, adding to the attractiveness. Until these pink fluorites were discovered in Mexico, Peru and the Alps were the only sources for pink fluorite, and the cost of a specimen such as this was (and still is) astronomical from those localities. The crystals on this specimen measure around 1.5 cm. 11.7 x 8.6 x 5.4 cm
