A single, intensely-statured Red Beryl crystal with a small companion that accents it on one side are the centerpiece for this dramatic specimen. Known originally as the Violet Claim, it was renamed in the 1970s to the Harris Mine for the new owners, at that time, and is distinguished as the premier world locality for Red Beryl, or Red Emerald as it's sometimes referred to in the gem trade. This crystal duo displays INTENSE, saturated, ruby-red color and the individual crystals measure 1.4cm x 0.8cm for the primary and 0.8 x 0.4cm for the side car. The main crystal is robust and doubly terminated and the smaller crystal has a single termination with the other end attached to the altered, bright white rhyolite matrix. This material is arguably some of the most eye-catching in the mineral kingdom! No more to be found, it is all old material. A dramatic specimen for this size range, with nice aesthetics.
