Hambergite is a rare accessory mineral in gem pegmatites and is uncommon from the famous Tourmaline pegmatites at Anjanabonoina. This prismatic crystal is lustrous and completely gemmy. It has one very fine, thick termination and has some rust-colored tint to the sides (which could be cleaned if desired, but I like the look of it). This is a better crystal than Yale's Brush Collection specimen shown in Mindat.org from this same old locality - they are very rare and hard to come by, today. A fine specimen from a very important locality for the species.
