A well-formed, reclined, gemmy, lime green, translucent, 3cm, titanite is accompanied by yellow-green, subhedral, translucent, 0.5 to 3cm titanite crystals that grace a large, 7.5cm, splendent, silvery-gray specular ilmenite crystal. Ex. Paulo Matioli collection. Initially, we believed this to be hematite, but Dr. Ricardo Scholz, Ouro Preo University, reached out to let us know that he "analised a sample from the same locality and looking like yours and I found an association of ilmenite and titanite."
