This is a shockingly good Molybdenite on matrix, with great balance, top luster, and excellent condition. The crystal measures 1.8 cm tall and is 2-3 mm thick - quite robust, actually, for a Molybdenite from this classic Canadian locale. It was not easy to mine and prepare this, especially since the deposit is in a pegmatite that was first explored in the 1950's. Note that this may be repaired o stabilized, from excavating it out.
