An extremely rare tourmaline from this "hole in the ground" locality, which has only sparsely produced very small pockets since the 1950s. This is almost certainly such an older specimen. In person, it has a bit more color to it. These are considered among the rarest tourmalines to be had for a San Diego COunty collection 2.1 x 0.4 x 0.2 cm
