A superb miniature of sharp, tapered, dark green Libethenite crystals that range up to 1.4 cm in length. This is an unusal style for the species, and rarely seen in this size. The crystals have silky, textured sides that resemble bark, and terminations that are lustrous and partially gemmy. They show nice flashes of green when lit. During the 1970's the Nkana (Rokana) Mine produced what are the world's finest examples of Libethenite. The mine closed in the 1980s. This is a notable, aesthetic example of this copper phosphate from several European collections.
