Serandite only occurs in good crystals at this classic Canadian locale, and this particular style came once in the late 1970s, characterized by: intensely color-saturated, smoked-salmon-flesh-orange crystals; aesthetic and elongated form; and the association with shaped-shaped analcime. They are incredibly rare on the market today! I buy every one I can lay hands on (perhaps half a dozen in the last decade?). These are simply not available on the market, and have been found nowhere else in the world. This piece is a world class example in its size range. And, it IS complete, and displays phenomenally well from ALL sides. This is an incredible, balanced, colorful example from this rare pocket. The association of a small, sharp natrolite crystal at the top really caps it, with a unique little twist. Joe Budd Photos.
