This is an absolutely fantastic specimen of South Carolina amethyst. These crystals, which (unusually enough) are Herkimer-like in form, are GEM-LIKE in transparency and brightness (much better in person - and some actually are clear in the middle and have purple blushes at the two ends, making them particularly remarkable) ! To top it off, this is a LARGE piece, with over a dozen crystals to 2.5 cm arranged in a fine balance across the display face.
