This is a huge "book" of purple lepidolite, which crystallizes in super-thin layers (naturally, as it is a variety of mica) due to its atomic structure in which the atoms line up on a single plane. You can see into the faces of the "book," as it is somewhat transparent. Not only very interesting, but actually rather pretty! 11.4 x 6.8 x 1.0cm
