A very gemmy, lustrous and nicely etched doubly-terminated yellow-green heliodor from the Walking Stick Mine, Zimbabwe. The base of the crystal was broken, but healed. These beryls were mined in the late 1970s and some were horded by the miner, Bob Contat, a geologist over there. Very, very uncommon. 18 carats or 3.5 grams. From the estate of geologist Bob Contat who found and worked this claim in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
