Is this not just an incredibly beautiful mineral specimen? Not only that, it is quite uncommon. Amethyst has pseudomorphed a row of frosty calcite crystals in the center. Contrasting with these is a bed of darker, gemmy prisms that surround the pseudomorphs. This specimen has size, beauty and the interest of the pseudomorphs - a lot going for one specimen!
