This is one of the more unusual specimens that I have seen from Riverside County. These 5 mm Diopside crystals have a rich, mint green color that almost look like they can and should be eaten for a sugary dessert, and the luster and translucence are very good. The dozens of Diopsides abundantly fill a large pocket within the Wollastonite. An aesthetic specimen, this was acquired by Kay back in 1966 from the Sol Shalevetz private collection. Unusual!
