A very RARE specimen, indeed! These slender purple gem tourmaline swere collected at a small pit in the early 1980s by a group of collectors which included John Sinkankas and Josephine Scripps. very FEW were found: less are available and most of those are thumbnails. This single crystal is all gem, though it needs good lighting to show it off fully. The main crystal is terminated well, though the small sidecar at the top is missing part of its own bottom termination. It has a unique and rich purple hue to it that is quite evident in person.
