This piece is composed of sharp, textbook hexagonal beryl crystals, of the colorless varietal called goshenite, to 1.5 cm. Goshenite is actually much rarer than the colored varieties of beryl such as aquamarine and emerald, for some reason. From the noted Erongo specialty collection of Heini Soltau.
