The gem box in which this superb crystal of rhodochrosite came said "Peru" on it, but it looks a lot more like a Mexican crystal in form. At any rate, obviously, a superb crystal, terminated on one end. The color is just so intense, and the slender, elongated form is exquisite. So elongated, it is most unusual to see a crystal like this from Peru. Ex. Irv Brown Collection.
