Malachite
A fine cabinet specimen of scintillating starbursts of emerald-green, primary malachite needles richly covering the rhyolite matrix plate. Many of the needles are gemmy. The large starburst at the bottom of the plate is 5.7 cm across. This piece was self-collected by Richard Hauck at Clifton, Arizona in February, 1995. These are primary crystals of large size for Arizona, not formed as replacements after azurite. Ex. Richard Hauck Collection.
