Chalcotrichite, the fibrous, red variety of cuprite, has totally included lustrous and translucent crystals of cerussite, to 1 cm in length. The resulting fire engine red color is further enhanced by minor green malachite at the base of the specimen. A rare and beautiful example of the incredible specimen mine that was Tsumeb. This specimen was featured in the Africa Thumbnail Treasures Exhibit, Munich 2012
