The alkaline massif of Mt. St. Hilaire has produced rare reddish rhodos of this habit in the past (early 1980s?). This one is a complete floater showing unusually well the remarkable triangular form they often took. This one would be considered unusually fine and large for the locality. They are darker red in normal light but have somewhat more red color when decently backlit (as shown). 3.2 x 3.2 x 0.1 cm
