Some of the most classic Chrysoberyl specimens in the world are those from Espirito Santo in the southeastern end of Brazil. This thumbnail has good yellow-green color, excellent luster, and good translucence to gemminess. The most recognized and celebrated habit for Chrysoberyl - the "sixling" twin, has begun to develop here. This deposit only produced from 1939-1941, so this 10 g crystal is a rare, and highly sought-after, thumbnail specimen of display quality.
