This fine and vuggy piece is richly covered with sparkling scorodite crystals. The crystals, to 5 mm, have variously a blue or blue-green surface sheen, are high in luster and are gemmy to opaque. This 2008 find was the first new worldwide find of scorodites in many years. This is a major discovery and the gemmy specimens, such as this, were not that common. This is a highly representative piece, with isolated crystals.
