An excellent, doubly terminated epidote crystal from a much less well-known Nevada locale - Hawthorne, Mineral County. This glassy, very gently tapering, parallel-growth crystal has beautiful zones of gemmy, olive-green fire and most interesting terminations. One lustrous termination is a modified pinacoid and has an interesting single, gemmy epidote crystal embedded in it. The other termination is highly complex and is covered with gemmy, smaller epidote crystals. Ex. Jaime Bird Collection.
