An incredibly rich and, more importantly from some points of view, PRETTY, tsumcorite specimen with real display quality to it! Usually, these are smears on lumps of rock. This piece, however, has huge, 3-dimensional aggregations of relatively robust and large crystals to 1 cm, on contrasting matrix. Bright yellow is rare, compared to brown and ruddy orange tsumcorite. The relief and display quality of this specimen made it leap out at me. It was found on Sept 4, 1976, in the DeWet Shaft of the mine, and I think the German label with it indicates on the 33 level, W-50 stope. Specimens of this caliber are EXTREMELY rare and this is a major piece for any Tsumeb collection, rare or common. (TYPE LOCALITY)
