A very unusual Heights Quarry combination piece collected in 1993 consisting of Fluorite, Galena and drusy Quartz. Dark green Fluorite cubes are tightly intergrown and transparent with many exhibiting twinning. They are lustrous and many have sharp edges. These are clear to the core except the one large Fluorite at one corner that displays white inclusions so typical of the Fluorite of this area. The rather dull cubo-octahedral Galena crystals that are intergrown with the Fluorite show incipient alteration to Anglesite or Cerussite on the surface. Patches of drusy Quartz have preferential growth on select Fluorite crystal faces and also fill the interstices between Fluorite crystals. The piece is wildly fluorescent! The Heights Quarry is developed on top of the former site of the Heights Mine.
